Bite Me Cookie expands its menu with cake, squares and more

It’s been a year since Cindy Wahler, of Bite Me Cookie, turned her passion for baking into a business. Since then, Wahler’s assortment of crisp, caramelized cookies loaded with chewy, chocolatey add-ins have become VIP guests at all manner of family get-togethers, functions, and fêtes. Available for delivery in 24 hours, they’ve also saved many a day when the cookie jar was running dangerously low. Buoyed by her success and inspired by her clientele, Wahler has now expanded her menu with a slew of satisfying new sweets you’ll soon be adding to your cookie order.

Launched in 2021, Bite Me Cookie is an online store where customers can order cookies by the dozen in myriad creative flavours. From Milk Chocolate Mint, adorned with mint chocolate, to the Shuffle my Ruffle, a sweet and salty combo of chocolate chunks and potato chips, Wahler has a cookie for every craving. Wahler also features Cookie Pizzas, customizable with four flavours, and a weekly flavour of mini Cookie Bites.

Despite the company's name, Bite Me Cookie, is now also the place to find Dulce de Leche Cheesecake Squares, Gluten-Free Chocolate Cake, Truffle Brownies, and more. The company’s new menu items are largely “born out of customer requests,” says Wahler. “This ends up being fun as this challenges my creativity and definitely takes me out of my comfort zone,” she adds. Whether customers prefer a certain type of dessert or a specific flavour combo, Wahler is eager to please and happy to try to accommodate her customers' wishes. “It is my job to fulfill their expectations,” she says. “I am a risk taker, and I appreciate the confidence others have in my ability to go further.”

Wahler's desserts are currently available to order through the link on the company’s Instagram page. Orders require 24-hours notice and are available for delivery within the GTA.

As for the future? “My plans are to stay fluid and open to my customers wants and desires,” she says. “I like the idea that there will aways be my core offerings and at the same time new additional items will always be forever emerging,” she adds. A self-proclaimed “over-achiever” Wahler’s one-woman team will need to expand if she achieves the ultimate goal of opening a bakery. “One day, a bricks and mortar shop would be a dream come true,” she says. With business expanding at a brisk pace, Wahler’s “one day” may not be far off.
