Dine out for a good cause this October with DASHA and The Soy Luck Club

Stand up to cancer at this month’s  F*K Cancer event, an exclusive dining collaboration between executive chef Hans Vogels, of DASHA, and Eva Chin, the chef and founder of The Soy Luck Club. Taking place on October 24th, the dinner promises to delight, surprise, and raise critical funds for breast cancer awareness and research.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, running from October 1st to 31st, the teams from DASHA and The Soy Luck Club have planned a one-night-only event that avid epicures won’t want to miss. “We are thrilled and deeply honoured to stand in collaboration with chef Eva and The Soy Luck Club, a powerful force in our industry for this meaningful initiative,” said chef Vogels in a press release.

Featuring six courses, the menu combines DASHA’s high-end pan-Asian approach with chef Chin’s Neo-Chinese culinary style. Highlights include DASHA's signature Wok Rocked Shrimp, made with 1000 chilis, and Memories of Shanghai, a dish made of silky egg tofu adorned with crab roe and ginger.

F*K Cancer will take place at DASHA, at 620 King Street West, on October 24th at 6 p.m. Tickets (available here) are $100 per person with optional beverage pairings available for an additional $75. All proceeds will support the CIBC Breast Centre at St. Michael’s Hospital.

DASHA guests who can’t attend the dinner can still support the cause by ordering the chefs’ October specials — Shrimp and Scallop Toast with Macanese coconut curry and lime leaf and Wagyu Beef Tartare Hand Roll with lo shui foie gras and peach preserve. A portion of proceeds from each order will fund essential breast cancer research.
