Feast on the bounty of Prince Edward County at Countylicious

If you’re due for a trip to The County, you’ll want to head east as soon as you can. After two years of modified offerings, Countylicious returns in full force on November 2 with a tempting batch of prix fixe menus at Prince Edward County’s top culinary destinations.

A celebration of Prince Edward County’s unique brand of farm-to-table fare — and the proficient growers, producers and culinary crews behind every dish — Countylicious serves up The County’s bounty in breathtaking ways. Led by PEC’s official tourism site, Visit The County, the program includes lunch and dinner options at 15 restaurants found across the region, from Wellington and Bloomfield to Picton. Priced from $20, for lunch, and up to $60, for dinner, the menus are a gorgeous reflection of the harvest, the seasons, and the creativity that abound in PEC’s wineries, breweries and top-tier eateries.

Among the 15 participating restaurants, you'll find a menu to suit every craving. From a soup at The Waring House made with fruit from Creasy’s Apple Dabble Farm, county cider, aged Cheddar and Vader’s Maple Syrup to Waupoos Estates Winery's gnocchi crafted from squash and Fifth Town crescenza cheese, lunch options are rife with goodies made or grown in The County.

Come evening, diners will find similarly regional offerings at spots ranging from Drake Devonshire and Merrill House to Parsons Brewing Company and Flame + Smith. Restaurants such as Onesta and The Dining Room at The Royal Hotel are new participants, having only recently joined The County’s culinary scene. For fresh, hand-made pastas topped with autumnal vegetables, or long-simmered ragu, rich with pork and beef, Onesta is the reservation you’ll want. On the other hand, with dishes such as swordfish crudo with bagna cauda and pickled ramps, and mussels in autumn ale with bacon, and grilled bread, Albert Ponzo’s menu at The Dining Room is another impeccable option.

Book now for lunch and dinner reservations between November 2 and 22. While you’re at it, book a hotel and turn the entire weekend into a mid-season mini-break. Opt for one of the StayPEC Member accommodations found on the Visit The County website, and save $50 when you dine at a participating Countylicious restaurant. With so much to see, experience, and eat, just don't be surprised when you're compelled to extend your stay by a night, or even two.
