This November, celebrate natural, organic and biodynamic wines at the RAW WINE Fair

If, like the good people at RAW WINE, you love nothing more than clean sips, there’s a new fall fair heading to Toronto that you won’t want to miss. Organized by a community of people who champion low-intervention, organic, biodynamic and natural wines, each fair brings growers, wine makers and natural wine-fans together in cities around the world. Having already landed in Berlin, Los Angeles, Montreal and more, RAW WINE will be popping up in Toronto for the first time this fall.

Founded in 2012 by Isabelle Legeron, the first French woman to become a Master of Wine, RAW WINE was originally envisioned as a way to celebrate the types of wine Legeron herself likes to drink. After a first fair in London that year, the organisation grew to now host annual fairs in several European and North American cities. The group also runs an online shop in the United Kingdom, as well as a monthly wine club in the United States, through which customers can learn about, and have access to, some of the world’s finest natural wines.

"When we started,” reads the RAW WINE website, “‘natural wine' as a category didn't even really exist.” Though natural wine “still accounts for less than 1% of global wine production,” according to the group, “its ideas are now permeating wine more generally.” This is, in no small part, thanks to the influence of RAW WINE itself. As "the world’s largest community” dedicated to what was once an underground wine movement, RAW WINE has helped increase natural wines' visibility on the world stage.

Taking place on November 16, at Artscape Wychwood Barns, Toronto’s inaugural RAW WINE fair will be a “celebration of some of the best wine talent in the world.” Tickets include unlimited samples and offer guests access to dozens of artisan producers from Europe, Australia, Canada, and more. “A great opportunity to meet some of the wine world's most extraordinary wine heroes and taste their highly individual creations” RAW WINE fair is a must for both natural wine experts and those who are new to the movement.

To avoid disappointment at the door (spots are limited), guests are encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets on the RAW WINE website.
