Sip your way around the world this summer at Wine Fest Toronto

Food fests are a fave but there’s something special about an event that lets you sip your way around the wine world. Taking place this July, Wine Fest Toronto is a place for wine enthusiasts to unite as they explore and enjoy the world of wine.

Returning July 8 and 9, Wine Fest Toronto is a two-day, all-you-can-taste, outdoor wine festival being held this year at RendezViews, at 229 Richmond Street West. The 30,000 square-foot outdoor patio, the city’s largest, is just the spot to host wineries from around the world as well as throngs of thirsty guests.

At the event, guests can enjoy a variety of wines as they also learn more about the industry and come to appreciate the range of styles and varietals made around the world. As Angela Aiello, chief creative officer of Wine Fest, explained in a press release, “Wine Fest is truly a place where wine lovers can taste their way across the globe, learn more about the regions of the world, come together with other cork dorks, and find a new wine to love!”

For example, Wine Fest Toronto, “will help educate the next generation of wine lovers about how California is leading the way in adopting environmentally and socially responsible practices to ensure the health of our land, our communities and our industry for generations to come,” explains Danielle Giroux, Canadian director of presenting sponsor, California Wines. Beyond bottles from the Golden State, guests will also enjoy wines from Chile, South Africa, Italy, Spain, Niagara-On-The-Lake and more.

Guests will be able to shop for any wines that win them over at a virtual wine shop provided in partnership with the LCBO. Wines sampled at the event will also be available for purchase from home at LCBO.com.

Since wine is best accompanied by flavourful food, RendezViews' regular offerings -- provided by The Ballroom, chef Nuit Regular and Death in Venice Gelato -- will also be available at the two-day event.

For tickets, visit the Wine Fest Toronto website and choose between one of three, three-hour sessions. Then, be prepared, rain or shine, to discover a new favourite bottle come July.
