Ah, Valentine’s Day. The most romantic holiday of the year and a time to plan something special. Luckily, Toronto is the perfect place to celebrate, with things to do that cater to a wide array of interests. If you’re looking for a special date idea this weekend and haven’t planned anything, here are a few things to check out whether you’re rolling as a couple, solo or as a group!
The Fairmont Hotel
The Fairmont Hotel recently underwent an intensive renovation that elevates the signature 19th-century style of the hotel. This weekend they are featuring a prix fixe menu at the newly opened Reign Toronto and are offering The Royal Romance Package which includes one-night accommodation, a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolate-covered strawberries, breakfast in bed for two and late check-out at 3 pm.
Looking for something a little more unique and informal? How about dining among some of the most unique sea creatures in the world? Why not have dinner at Ripley’s Aquarium on Valentine’s Day where you can spend the evening as a couple, in a group or even solo. Enjoy food stations, live entertainment, a cash bar and the magic of the sea all in one night!
Toronto Light Fest
Toronto brings some of the most sought-after art projects to the city, so why not take in the Toronto Light Fest and then grab some late-night eats at El Catrin. This year for Valentine’s Day any guest who comes through after 9:30 PM will get a free glass of sparkling.
Karaoke at DASHA
Nothing says love like serenading your date, right? Get your karaoke fix at DASHA with a ticket that grants you entry, a welcome cocktail, appetizers and canapés in the private dining room and access to all 5 karaoke rooms for the night!
The Broadview Hotel
Another hotel option for Valentine’s Day is The Rooftop at the Broadview Hotel which offers up some of the most breathtaking views of the city. The menu features fresh oysters, prawns, beet salad, a grilled striploin and ends with a decadent chocolate torte.
