Beloved spot for Mexican tortas reopens as a permanent pop-up

After closing its doors back in March due to the ramifications of COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdowns, Torteria San Cosme has officially reopened as a permanent pop-up operating out of Mexican restaurant Milagro Cantina.

Known for their Mexican tortas, the tiny Kensington Market eatery was an integral part of the Kensignton food community.

Torta Del Chavo with roasted chicken and panela cheese.

Now operating out of Milagro Cantina at 5 Mercer Street in the heart of the Entertainment District, we can once again indulge in some of the best sandwiches the city has to offer.

Their menu is packed with various delicious tortas accompanied by house-made salsas, guacamole, chorizo quesadillas and churros for something sweet.
