If you haven't tried popular Korean street food, now is your chance! Chung Chun's specializes in Korean rice dogs -- a delicious treat of rice flour batter wrapped hot dogs, spicy sausages, mozzarella or a combination. The batter dipped sticks sold here are coated with optional toppings like diced potato, breadcrumbs, ramen and are freshly fried to order. The rice dogs are crunchy, savoury and a perfect treat to grab and stroll around the city with.

The first location of Chung Chun was at 11 Byng Ave. in North York but the restaurant owners decided it was time to expand and have opened their second location in the heart of Koreatown in Downtown Toronto. The grand opening of their location at 615 Bloor Street West was June 6, 2020. There were customers lined up around the block waiting for their rice dogs at a discounted price of $2.99, down from $6.99 regularly.

The perfectly umami and tasty treat-on-a-stick is now in closer proximity for all of the downtown dwellers. It is nice to see triumphs like successful openings of new locations during a time where the restaurant industry is hurting. Make sure to stop by Bloor West and Palmerston to check them out.
