News that Figo reopens today is sure to please anyone currently missing the spot’s wood-fired pizzas, hand-made pastas and menu of seasonal, contemporary Italian dishes.
Figo, an Iconink restaurant in the Entertainment District, closed last November when the city moved into its second lockdown. Though the space had previously been open for patio dining, delivery and takeout, the decision was made to close entirely when lockdown returned.
To celebrate its reopening, Figo is running a contest to inspire creativity in the kitchen. During the month of March, every customer who places an order for takeout or delivery will receive a complimentary ball of house-made pizza dough. Customers are asked to make their own pizza at home using the dough, to photograph it and to then post it to Instagram and tag Figo. For every post, amateur pizzaiolos will be entered in a contest to win a $150 Figo gift certificate. The winning pizza will also be featured on Figo’s future menu.
Carb-lovers will be happy to hear that Figo’s authentic, hand-made pasta dishes, including linguine al limone, bucatini with wild boar ragù, potato agnolotti and more, are now half-price every Monday.
Starting March 1, Figo will be open for orders Monday to Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
