Although the promise of farm-to-table dining may be teetering on the edge of overuse -- a catch-phrase meant to lure in those tempted by trends in the restaurant world -- when properly executed, farm-to-table dining is not, and never will be, overrated.

A new addition to excellent farm-to-table dining in Toronto has officially landed in Kensington Market. As the first of its kind in the city, the vegan Middle Eastern takeout restaurant, Eat Nabati, sets the stage for healthy, fast-casual food with both the gourmand and conscientious eater in mind.

Eat Nabati

Nabati means "made of plants or plant-based" in Arabic and that is what they are all about. Their motto is "blending flavours of the Middle East with the North's Harvest." From falafel to donuts and everything in between, there is a little something for everyone and I'm not just talking about our vegan friends.

When walking through bustling Kensington Market, the ideal bite is easy to grab and go while running errands or looking for an escape from your home office! Eat Nabati fulfills just this. Located right outside the heart of Kensington, Eat Nabati is the perfect addition to the quick bites Kensington has become home too. It will be your first and last stop anytime you are craving a pita, falafel or just a little snack; they have it all.

Eat Nabati

The bold flavours keep you eager to finish your meal and order more before getting to your last bite. For our meat lover friends, you won't be missing chicken or beef when having the shawarma. From the appearance to the taste, you wouldn't even know you are eating a vegan-friendly meal.

The falafel is a must-have, the large crispy green falafels come out of the kitchen piping hot and are paired with beet tahini -- the perfect combination. With a crunchy exterior and soft inside, falafel doesn't get much better.

Eat Nabati is a welcome addition to the street food scene of Kensington Market and we couldn't be happier about it. Eat Nabati is located at 160 Baldwin Street in Kensington Market.
