Calgary's popular Añejo restaurant has just announced the opening of its first-ever location in eastern Canada. After 8 successful years as Calgary's go-to Mexican restaurant, Añejo has chosen the bustling King West area for its new Toronto home.

Añejo's menu draws influences from several regions across Mexico, with the intention that the food will reflect contemporary Mexican cuisine. To name a few menu items: steak tacos, a citrus beet salad, a large format red snapper Veracruz and a ceviche tasting are all on offer.
Yet one cannot forget, at Añejo, tequila is king -- after all, the restaurant was named with the tequila aficionado in mind. The restaurant houses a wide selection of both tequila and mezcal, with everything from blanco, reposado and añejo -- the extensive list will keep patrons tasting until the wee hours of the night.
In line with true King West fashion, the space is grandiose -- with a large dining area, communal tables and an impressive bar; Añejo is the perfect location for a large dinner party. Authentic Mexican embellishments have even been selected from various regions across the country to accentuate the roots of the restaurant. With a slight cavernous quality, the domed exposed stone is reminiscent of a tequila tasting cellar.
