If your cravings lean toward fresh-baked cookies, crammed with all manner of sugary treats, Midnight Cookie has the goods you need. Perfect for a season of all-nighters and stress-induced insomnia, or as an accompaniment to a night spent binge-watching movies or hopping from bar to bar, these cookies are delivered after hours, when cravings inevitably hit.
Launched this spring by Emily Banks (with support and plenty of taste testing from her boyfriend Alon Steinbach), Midnight Cookie came from Banks’ desire to fill a need for late-night snacks.
“In the late hours of the night, [my boyfriend and I] were often awake watching movies or spending time at home and would crave a snack,” says Banks. The only problem is, “during the night, a lot of our options were limited. We would look through the different delivery applications multiple times, and never find anything that we wanted.” The idea for a nocturnal cookie delivery company was born, bringing customers made-to-order cookies still warm from the oven.
Available between the hours of 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. from Tuesday to Thursday, and 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. from Friday to Sunday, Midnight Cookies’ array of treats are available by the half-dozen, dozen or more. On the menu, customers will find a tempting assortment of chocolate-based indulgences, including cookies embellished with Kinder, Caramilk, M&Ms, peanut butter cups, sprinkles and more.
“We always try to deliver our cookies warm and give customers that fresh out of the oven feeling,” says Banks.
A Nutella-filled cookie in regular and chocolate dough was added to the lineup in August and “we are always looking to expand our menu," says Banks. The team is also looking to expand its capacity and delivery area with a new space.
“The response has been amazing so far and we want to be able to connect to more people across Toronto.”
