If April is looking a little devoid of plans, you’ll want to mark the 10th on your calendar.
Order a meal and cocktail kit from R&N Dining and, come April 10, you and your plus-one can sit down to a lively Zoom tutorial designed to take you from kit to culinary contentment.
R&N Dining was launched in March 2020 by food and beverage professionals Ryan Zeidenberg and Nick Masci. Zeidenberg, a George Brown Chef School graduate who has worked in numerous local spots, including Museum Tavern and Grazie, is the culinary lead. Masci, a private mixologist, mixes nuanced cocktails tailor-made to match Zeidenberg’s dishes. Originally, the plan was to bring unique dining experiences to clients in the comfort of their own homes.
As with the best-laid plans of 2020, things didn’t work out as hoped and the company has since shifted to a meal and cocktail kit format. April 10 will mark the first of a series combining the kits with a live Zoom tutorial. The menu for two includes kalbi eggplant and Chinese five spice duck breast with parsnip purée, cherry balsamic sauce and microgreens.
Two cocktails––a rhubarb and ginger gin and tonic and a chipotle honey bourbon sour, are also part of the package. The class will take place at 7 p.m. and will teach participants how to prep, cook and plate the dishes. Masci will also expound on the qualities of the cocktails, why they pair perfectly with each course and will teach participants how each cocktail should be mixed and garnished.
Each kit for two is priced at $100 and includes ingredients, delivery and the Zoom class. Orders will be accepted until April 4, through the company’s Instagram account.
