The Pearle Hotel and Spa is your new staycation destination

Anyone in need of staycation inspiration will want to mark December 8 on their calendars. That’s when The Pearle Hotel & Spa, Ontario’s first Autograph Collection Hotel, will finally be opening its well-polished doors, inviting guests to experience its elegant interiors, luxurious spa and two farm-to-table eateries.

Located on Burlington’s scenic waterfront, The Pearle Hotel & Spa offers guests incomparable lake views and access to Burlington’s pier, Spencer Smith Park and walkable, quaint downtown. Best of all? Accessible by car or train in under an hour, little stands between you and this distinguished destination.

Owned by Pearle Hospitality, the property features the same attention to detail, upscale finishes and level of service as its sister hotel, the Elora Mill. “The Pearle Hotel & Spa is a dream soon to be realized,” said Aaron Ciancone, President of Pearle Hospitality, in a recent press release. Named for the family matriarch, Pearle Ciancone, the hotel “adopts Pearle’s name as a reminder of how hard work, integrity and fabulous food always pay off.”

With interiors designed by award-winning firm Studio Munge, every aspect of The Pearle Hotel & Spa is a celebration of contemporary design influenced by the seasons. Meant to mimic a modern lake house, the hotel features white oak panelling, a cascading spiral staircase and artwork by local artisans. Each of the 151 rooms is exquisitely appointed with top-quality furnishings and linens and boasts spacious showers and thoughtful amenities.

Helmed by executive chef Ben Heaton (formerly of Toronto-based Scale Hospitality), Isabelle is the hotel’s main restaurant and lounge. With an all-weather, waterfront patio and elegant room, Isabelle is poised to be Burlington’s new go-to spot for a menu of seasonal dishes highlighting the area’s bounty.

Crafted from locally-sourced ingredients, including many from the company’s nearby organic farm, chef Heaton’s vibrant dishes blend Mediterranean flavours in modern takes on tradition. From salmon crudo with cucumber and jalapeño zhug to burrata with pumpkin panzanella and aged short rib with beets, horseradish, red wine and beef fat vinaigrette, the menu includes a selection of small and large plates as well as dishes perfect for sharing.

Earth to Table: Bread Bar, Pearle Hospitality’s popular pizzeria and bakery, is also on-site for casual, seasonal bites, coffees, pastries and more.

With a spa that embodies “the rejuvenating sense of spring,” a Hammam steam room, indoor pool, and fully-equipped gym, guests will find plenty to keep them busy during their stay.

A full-service, gorgeous, lakeside property, The Pearle Hotel & Spa is the perfect getaway for weary urbanites looking for an escape. Hop in the car and you could be sipping cocktails on Isabelle’s terrace within the hour. Don’t blame us if you find yourself heading west more often than ever before.
