Toronto's annual Fried Chicken Festival returns for third year this weekend

Fried chicken lovers can rejoice––the Street Eats Market is bringing back its annual Fried Chicken Fest for its third instalment.

Hosted at the Street Eats Market at Scarborough Town Centre, the festival will be running on both Saturday and Sunday. The vendors will be serving up their own unique, signature fried chicken dish for customers to try.

Vendors will include familiar faces from the Street Eats Market lineup. This year's participants will be 6 Spice Rack, El Bosco, Golden Grill, Jerk Brothers and Smoke Stop among many others. There will be a collection of different fried chicken dishes, including Nashville Hot Chicken, Bombay Hot Fried Chicken, Korean Fried Chicken, Smoked Fried Chicken Poutine, Fried Chicken Tacos and more. Based on the creativity of previous renditions, there will likely be some surprise dishes outside of just fried chicken sandwiches. The best dish will be judged by local influencers and personalities, and a winner will look to be crowned on the Sunday.

Fried Chicken Fest is located at the Street Eats Market at Scarborough Town Centre at 520 Progress Avenue. The festival will run on both Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to various food banks across the GTA on behalf of Street Eats Market. If last year was any indication, the lineups will be absolutely insane, so arrive early to ensure you try out all the Fried chicken vendors for this year.
