Good news for Toronto burger lovers: Harry’s Charbroiled is expanding operations. They’ve been slinging some of the best burgers in the city at their Palmerston location since the summer of 2020, as well as having their food truck dish out some mouth-watering eats on the road, but now they’ve got their eyes on some new horizons.

Just this past Wednesday, Harry’s opened a new location in Picton, Ontario, in Prince Edward County, where they had their food truck pop-up last summer. It was such a hit that they’re back in full force with a permanent, year-round location just in time for summer, where they’ll be serving up fries, shakes, and of course, the smash burgers: From their famous green and red chorizo burgers to the classic “Plain Jane” beef burgers.

“It’s only been open a week, but it’s been busy,” said co-owner Nate Young. Young said they’ve had a lot of visitors and community members out already to see the new home, complete with bright yellow checkerboard floors, indoor and outdoor seating, with a covered patio to boot. The PEC location can be found at 13633 Highway 33, open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Back in Toronto, Harry’s Charbroiled has its sights on a new location at Coxwell and Gerrard, in the space where an old Coffee Time once was until it closed in 2019. While that location doesn’t have a firm opening date, “the aim is for the tail end of the summer, but it might be early fall,” Young said.

Until then, Young is excited to have people out at the Palmerston location’s newly updated patio, which is a slight facelift in time for summer. Find it at 239 Palmerston Ave.
