Mississauga's new all-pink café serves up sweet treats and feel-good vibes

From gorgeous spaces to innovative eats, we’re all suckers for sensational style. In an age where little, if anything, goes unseen and documented online, we’re always hungry for the next “big” thing. Opening June 29, at Square One Shopping Centre, Alaïa Café & Doughnuts is the blush-toned spot that will soon be prettying up your life, and your Instagram feed.

Modelled on the all-pink cafés of Dubai and the UK, Alaïa Café & Doughnuts was brought to life by Radiyah Chapti. A coffee connoisseur and avid traveller, Chapti first introduced customers to her all-pink concept through Night Market Toronto, where the brand’s popular karak chai was a perennial favourite and frequently sold out. “I have always been an avid coffee drinker,” explained Chapti in a press release. “I’ve experienced many coffee flavours and unique storefronts throughout my many travels and was inspired to bring something that Mississauga hasn’t seen before.”

Featuring indoor and outdoor seating, the new pop-up -- located at 100 City Centre Drive, next to Moxies -- is decorated with bright pink walls accented with florals, butterflies and custom neon signs for those looking to enhance their pics with inspirational adages.

On the menu, guests will find an array of gourmet doughnuts and pastries along with signature hot and cold drinks, from Spanish and rose lattes to the spot's signature chai, a strong, sweetened blend of tea and myriad spices.

"I want anyone who walks in to feel welcome and special," says Chapti. "This café has always been a dream of mine and I can't wait to share this pretty escape with the Mississauga community and beyond." With the opening of Alaïa Café, which may become a permanent mall fixture, Chapti's vision has come to life. Decorated entirely in pink -- a calming colour that represents love, kindness and romance -- the café makes Chapti, "feel happy," she says.

Craving feel-good vibes with a side of sumptuous sweet treats? As of next week, you know where to go.
