Get the party started this long weekend at Night Market TO's Canada Day Eats

When it comes to Canada Day, most of us can agree that it should be observed with plenty of fabulous food, an assortment of cold bevvies and a mass of friends all clad in patriotic red and white. This year, embrace the languor of a stat holiday by forgoing your own fête in lieu of Night Market TO’s Canada Day Eats celebration.

Taking place July 1 to July 3, at Square One Shopping Centre’s parking lot 3, Night Market TO’s Canada Day Eats is back, promising an array of vendors to satisfy every craving. Held in partnership with Tourism Mississauga, the food truck festival is the place to find a giddy assortment of savoury and sweet eats from spots ranging from Rick's Good Eats and The North Corner to 6ix Spice Rack, Donia's Donair and more. From poutine, tacos and jerk chicken to funnel cakes and slushies, there'll be an abundance of offerings to keep the weekend interesting.

Launched in 2020, Night Market TO started out with a lineup of seasonal night market pop-ups at Square One Shopping Centre. Since then, the company has been connecting popular food trucks with hungry Ontarians at a dizzying number of events -- from the holiday-themed Frost Bites to the recent Halal Food Tour, which took place over the course of two months in eight cities, from London to Ajax.

This weekend, the team is at it again, with the party starting at 3 p.m. on July 1. Canada Day attendees can enjoy prime seating for the fireworks display taking place at 10:05 p.m., next door at Mississauga’s Celebration Square. On the evening of July 2, School of Rock will be performing, adding to the event's festive flair.

Though Night Market TO’s Canada Day Eats event is free to enter, guests are asked to reserve their All-Weekend Pass by visiting the Night Market TO website.
