When Pride Month and National Picnic Day coincide, a drag picnic featuring some of the city’s fiercest queens is the only acceptable way to celebrate. Taking place on June 18, SkipTheDishes’ Pride Picnic Pop-Up will feature riveting live performances, tasty treats from 2SLGBTQ+ owned restaurants, energizing music, and enough fun to properly celebrate the return of Pride.

Since picnics are all about the food, visitors to SkipTheDishes’ Pride Picnic will be in for (more than one) type of treat. Hosted by Canada’s largest and most trusted food delivery network, the picnic promises a host of tasty bites, along with a hefty dose of style. Guests will be the first to try the newest flavour from Craig’s Cookies, created in collaboration with SkipTheDishes and inspired by Katy Perry (the brand’s newest ambassador). Chewy, tender, and lush, the Black Cherry Pie cookie is as sweet and satisfying as other treats on the roster at Craig’s Cookies. Café Neon will also be on site with a bevy of snacks, as will other local SkipTheDishes partners.

Since nobody lives on food alone, the picnic will also guarantee a prime spot to view live performances from iconic Canadian drag queens. From cherished drag mom Xtacy Love, to Luna Dubois, and Miss Moço, each performer will be serving up a surfeit of style and a fantastically good time.

Prospective picnic-goers will want to reserve ASAP via OpenTable for one of three, 90-minute seatings. Each one is available, free-of-charge, for a maximum of six people per table.

SkipTheDishes’ Pride Picnic Pop-Up is taking place on Saturday, June 18, at 164 Bathurst Street.
