Amal Restaurant from INK Entertainment opening in Yorkville this spring

Charles Khabouth -- award winning restaurateur and owner of INK Entertainment -- is paying tribute to his Lebanese roots with the opening of his latest restaurant, Amal. The restaurant will have locations in Toronto’s Yorkville and Miami’s Coconut Grove.

In 2019, Charles and his team travelled to Lebanon to get a first-hand feel of the senses and flavours of the country to ensure both the design and the menu of Amal were authentic and true to the country’s heritage. “As a native of Lebanon, ensuring authenticity was paramount. We have one of the best executive chefs from Beirut, we worked with one of the Middle Easts’ biggest design firms to create the brand and we handpicked and imported the restaurant’s décor and dishware,” Charles says.

Executive Chef Rony Ghaleb will be at the helm of Amal’s kitchen with over 25 years of experience in some of the most well-known restaurants in Lebanon. The menu will feature contemporary versions of traditional shared plates.

The location will take over the space previously occupied by La Société, also owned by INK Entertainment. Award winning design firm Studio Munge -- who has partnered several times on INK properties -- will bring a modern charm to the space and will incorporate traditional Lebanese architecture and design.

Opening in Spring 2020, Amal will be open for lunch and dinner daily with brunch served on Saturday and Sundays.
