Give a gift with purpose this month with Happy Pops' heart-shaped collection

Toronto-based frozen treat company Happy Pops has launched a meaningful popsicle collection for the month of February.

In June 2021, Leila Keshavjee’s dad experienced a heart attack. Thankfully, he survived, but Keshavjee wanted to make the experience an opportunity to spread awareness of something that many have been affected by: heart disease.

“Most people know someone who’s been affected by heart disease,” says Keshavjee. “And sometimes people don’t even make it to the hospital, which is so scary.”

In Canada, approximately one in 12 adults aged 20 or over live with a diagnosed heart disease, according to a study by the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Happy Pops has now launched a limited edition collection of their famed popsicles, each one cleverly molded into a heart shape, for the month of February, which happens to be Heart Health Month. The collection features four new flavours and will only be available for this month. A portion of their sales will be donated to Sunnybrook Hospital, where Keshavjee’s father was revived when he went into cardiac arrest, in support of their cardiac research initiatives.

Their new flavours will also come in new packaging, and ingredients and flavour pairings that are synonymous with the month of February. They include a fresh and light Raspberry Rose, a sharp, tangy Dragon Fruit Lemonade, a creamy and nostalgic Cherry Vanilla and the sensual classic, Strawberry Chocolate.

The collection is running now, and would make a perfect “gift with purpose” for your loved ones this Valentine’s Day.
