Thank you.

As we've seen all too often over the past few months, many bars and restaurants have not only been struggling to cover rent for their far less crowded spaces but have also found themselves in challenging situations when it comes time to renew leases on their properties. The Ossington is Toronto's latest spot to fall victim to the latter, with their lease terminating at the end of the month and the bar closing on September 26th. The popular bar took to their Instagram account to thank the many DJs, comedians, poets and everyone who made the space what it was over the years. Most importantly, they thanked their fantastic team of staff who kept the place running smoothly and will continue to do so until it shut its doors.

All hope is not lost for The Ossington, though. The owners have hinted at the fact that they're planning on finding a "new home" for their bar, as it was not necessarily the location but all of the people that made the space what it was. Our fingers are crossed that they find a different location in the city to continue bringing lively dance parties, trivia nights, comedy shows and musical talent to wherever they may go.

The Ossington will remain open for the next week and a half for patio service, so be sure to stop by for a cold drink and to say goodbye to their current address -- you may even get a hint at where their new home could be!
