By now, it comes as no surprise to hear that owning a restaurant during a global health pandemic has been challenging -- to say the least! But with this challenge, many restaurants have shifted gears from their SOPs and have turned to takeout services, pop-ups, ghost kitchens, meal kit services, bottle shops and even grocery stores!

Mad Radish is no exception. In response to the changing restaurant industry, Mad Radish has expanded their gourmet fast food brand with the launch of two new kitchen concepts, Luisa’s Bowls & Burritos and Revival Pizza. Combining the best elements of a typical ‘ghost kitchen’ -- a professional kitchen used to prepare delivery-only meals -- with the benefits of a customer-facing restaurant, all three brands are available at Mad Radish restaurants and through the Mad Radish app. All three gourmet fast food brands also have stand-alone storefronts on Uber Eats.

Founded by Stephanie Howarth and David Segal (of DAVIDsTEA), all of the food under the Mad Radish Brand share one common philosophy: chef-driven meals that are made to order and built to travel. Adam Tomczyk, one of the co-founders of Mad Radish, spearheaded the development of Revival Pizza. With the help of several chefs, most notably, Noel Brohner out of Santa Monica, Adam and the Mad Radish team created a unique style that is special to Revival Pizza.

Revival Pizza is dishing up Neapolitan style pizzas with a deliciously modern twist. Since simple, quality food is at the forefront of the Mad Radish brand, Revival Pizza focuses on sourcing sustainable, farm fresh ingredients from local producers in Ontario and Quebec, where possible.

Revival Pizza's deliciously fresh tomato sauce is made with only 3 simple ingredients: San Marzano tomatoes, fresh oregano and sea salt. Topped on an airy, thin but built-to-travel dough, the herb-blend seasoning on the crust pairs perfectly with the fresh acidity of their tomato sauce.

Revival's Neapolitan pizzas offers 8 signature toppings, all catering to a different palate. For the lover of classics, go for the Margherita, featuring San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, bocconcini and fresh basil. Perfectly crispy and curled-at-the-edges dry-cured pepperoni is the star in the Sgt. Pepperoni pizza, while artichokes, Tuscan prosciutto, fresh arugula and balsamic glaze steal the show in The Godfather.

They also have three vegetarian pizzas including Zucchini and Feta, Sweet Heat and Blue featuring blue cheese, sweet potatoes and handcrafted Calabrian chili peppers from a family-run producer in Southern Italy, and lastly, the Hen of the Woods, featuring delicate and feathery organic maitake mushrooms, hon shimeji mushrooms, button mushrooms and truffle oil.

All of the sauces are made in house, including the basil drizzle, balsamic glaze and piri piri sauce. The same can also be said for all the sauces and dressings at Mad Radish and Luisa's Burritos and Bowls!

Needless to say, Revival Pizza puts a modern and creative twist on the ultimate comfort food, with food that tastes as good as it makes you feel.
