This mother-daughter trio creates viral TikTok candy boxes

Treatz Plz, a Toronto-based business, has been curating and collecting all the TikTok-famous, hard-to-find candies and putting them into a box.

What started out as a candy assortment platter business last year quickly pivoted this year when 10-year-old Zoey Vinokur suggested to package all the hard-to-find TikTok candies into one box.  She realized that it was always difficult to source all of the famous candies and treats that had grown to be incredibly trendy on video-sharing app TikTok, so she took it upon herself to find candy suppliers, purchase the novelty candy in bulk and package each of these bulk candies into one box, creating what Treatz Plz calls their 'Original TikTok Candy Box'.

The team consists of Tammy Vinokur and her two daughters Zoey and 8-year-old  Lexi. Tammy is a high school business teacher and someone who spent over 10 years in the corporate world.  She shares that with the expansion of Treatz Plz, she feels her two daughters have pretty much learned the entire Grade 10 Ontario business curriculum throughout the last seven months, even though they're only in Grades 3 and 5.

It all started on Tammy's niece's birthday––her daughters decided to gift their cousin a special candy platter. They visited the bulk candy stores and bought all the candy to make the gift as special and fun as possible. Tammy decided to share the platter on Facebook, because she felt her daughters did an amazing job, where the post gained tons of interest from friends and family. With the extra time on their hands due to the pandemic, they decided to branch out and create a brand name, logo, Instagram page, website and began working on their packaging.

What sets Treatz Plz apart is their TikTok Candy Box––Zoey and Lexi wanted to market this innovative product after seeing the multitude of candies and snacks go viral on TikTok, identifying the difficulty people have had trying to source these treats. So, the trio did a load of research and recognized nothing like this existed in Toronto at the time, resulting in them being the first to do so.

The Vinokur family now has people calling them from all over North America, asking for their highly-coveted TikTok candy box after word had spread through the social media app of its exclusive and rare qualities. Tammy shared that they were fortunate enough that their own customers were advertising for them, because they enjoyed the box that much.

Some of the boxes they currently have include the Original TikTok Candy Box, which has all the super trendy candies that have gone viral on TikTok––such as Slime Lickers, Juicy Drops and Takis. The Retro Box is great for anybody aged 30 and up, and includes very nostalgic treats with several childhood favourites. The Limited Edition Boxes include rare, newly-released snacks, like cookie-dough KitKat, Skittles gummies or Cheetos Mac and Cheese.
Lastly, their newest TikTok Summer Trends Box that is launching soon will include super trendy and hard-to-find TikTok items, such as freeze-dried Skittles, Gigantic Poppit, Slaps lollipops and much more. With special occasions coming up, Treatz Plz will be releasing specialized Graduation boxes, a Father's Day box and Camp boxes.

The team feels the reason why they have Treatz Plz today is because of the pandemic. They acknowledge that they would not have had the opportunity to build this business if they had not been forced to stay home together as a family. Being home has certainly made running this business easier and brought their family closer together, according to the trio.

Treatz Plz ships domestically across Canada as well as internationally to the United States. To follow up with their exciting new TikTok boxes, you can follow them on Instagram and check out their website.
