Homemade Salsa 5 Steps

Step 1
Set the oven broiler on high.

Place the tomatoes, jalapeño pepper, onion and garlic on a baking sheet.

Broil the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes until slightly charred.

Remove from the broiler and let them cool.

In a blender or food processor, combine the broiled vegetables, cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper. Pulse until desired consistency is reached. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
Pickled Red Onion 3 Steps

In a small bowl, combine apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt and warm water. Stir until the sugar and salt dissolve.

Place the thinly sliced red onion in a jar or bowl and pour the pickling liquid over it.

Let it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate for a couple of hours for stronger flavour.
Breakfast Tacos 5 Steps

Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on a paper towel.

In a non-stick pan, fry the eggs sunny-side-up until the whites are cooked and the yolks are still runny.

Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or in the oven.
