I think we can all agree that garlic bread is one of the most popular appetizers! I mean, it's cheesy, garlicky AND crunchy; what's not to like?
This recipe is easy and simple yet tasty. You can serve it alongside pasta or soup as a side dish or just as a snack. Either way, you will love it.
This garlic bread is not a regular garlic bread, all thanks to roasted garlic.
I love using roasted garlic in many different dishes and this recipe is definitely one of them. Roasting garlic is very easy and you can roast a few of them simultaneously and use them in different dishes for a few days.
I'm pretty sure you won't have any leftovers here but if (and this is a big if) you had any, you can refrigerate them in an airtight container and heat it up for few minutes in the oven before serving.
Method
Roasted Garlic 5 Steps
-
Step 1
Heat the oven to 400°F and arrange a rack in the middle of the oven.
-
Step 2
Peel (most of) the paper off the garlic and trim about 1/4 inch off the top of the head of garlic.
-
Step 3
Drizzle the olive oil and salt over the exposed surface of the garlic and wrap them tightly in the foil.
-
Step 4
Roast them in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Check the garlic after 40 minutes, if it wasn't soft yet give it more time but keep checking every 10 minutes.
-
Step 5
Let the garlic cool down before using it.
