French Toast 8 Steps
Cut challah bread into rectangular blocks (approximately 1" x 2") or cut into thick slices,
Make batter by cracking 8 eggs into a bowl. Whisk together with milk and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Using a deep fryer or pot, heat oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Quickly submerge challah blocks or slices in the batter ensuring it is fully coated but NOT drenched.
Once oil has reached 350 degrees Fahrenheit, place the challah blocks or slices in the deep fryer, or pot, for 2 minutes per side, or once evenly golden brown.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix the sugar and remaining cinnamon.
Toss challah in the bowl with the cinnamon sugar.
