A new Japanese restaurant just arrived from the West Coast

A popular Japanese restaurant from the West Coast has just landed in Toronto’s King West neighbourhood.

Hailing all the way from Vancouver, Minami is the newest addition to Aburi Restaurants’ successful line of high-end Japanese restaurants across the city including Miku, Tora and Aburi Hana. This makes it the group’s fourth east coast venue, with Miku being the first.

Similar to their sister restaurant Minami Yaletown in Vancouver, this Toronto venture is still offering contemporary Japanese cuisine made with seasonal and regional ingredients, as well as Ocean Wise seafood.

Led by Aburi Restaurants’ very own chef Jason Do, the menu includes small plates, bentos, bowls and flame-seared Aburi sushi, which is one of the group’s signature items. Not only are traditional Japanese techniques and flavours used to create mouthwatering land to sea dishes but also concepts inspired by our city’s local culture.

They even have an impressive selection of beverages including premium sake and wines that can be paired with culinary offerings like their Aburi Chicken Bowl, Atlantic Salmon Mushiyaki and Halibut Tatsuta-Age Bento.

Minami is sure to offer a unique and innovative dining experience, even through takeout and delivery. You can find them at 225 King Street West.
