The same people behind the famous chimney churro cones just opened a vegan taco joint!

Eva's Original Chimneys just launched Happy Taco, an all-vegan taco shop located inside their flagship store on Bloor West. Opened this past Friday, Happy Taco is dishing out all kinds of vegan tacos and Mexican comfort foods including loaded nachos with BBQ pulled jackfruit, vegan mac and cheese quesadillas made with a butternut cashew cheese sauce and tortilla chips with fresh pico de gallo.

The menu features six globally inspired 100% vegan tacos on 6″ flour or corn tortillas including The Texan (BBQ pulled jackfruit topped with pickled red onion, crispy onions, shredded vegan cheese and house-made guacamole); The Jerk (Jerk seasoned pulled jackfruit, pineapple salsa, spicy coleslaw, crispy plantain and pickled onions); The Bandido (Taco-seasoned Beyond Meat®, pico de gallo, pickled red onion, shredded kale, crispy jalapeño topped with creamy cajun sauce); and The Korean (Korean-style BBQ pulled jackfruit, kimchi, crispy onion and sesame seeds), to name a few.

Each takeaway taco kit is available in 4, 8 and 12 servings and include lime and cilantro. You can add smooth guacamole to any order for an additional cost.

All of their vegan sauces and dressings are made from scratch in-house using premium ingredients.

Happy Taco is available for pick-up and delivery through Eva's Original Chimneys at 454 Bloor Street West and is open Monday to Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Thursday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Happy Taco is also coming to Mississauga next month at Eva's in Port Credit -- stay tuned!
