TP Tea, a popular Taiwanese gourmet bubble tea chain, is now expanding into east Toronto, announcing that they will be opening their new Scarborough location on June 26.
TP Tea, which is short for Taiwan Professional Tea, was established in 2005. The brand boasts a rich tea heritage all the way back to 1987, starting with its tea house parent company, Chun Shui Tang—the original pioneer of Taiwanese pearl milk tea. With the founder having over 30 years of prior experience and expertise in preparing tea, starting from the selection of tea leaves to the art of brewing and blending tea, in less than fifteen years, TP Tea has already expanded to more than 300 stores worldwide, including in Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and the United States.
Last summer, TP Tea opened their first Canadian location in Richmond Hill, and a couple of months later, their second store opened in Vaughan. Now, bubble tea lovers living in Scarborough will finally be able to get a taste the popular worldwide sensation. Additionally, this summer, TP Tea's North York location will also be opened.
“Being a bubble tea addict myself, I’ve tried hundreds of bubble tea brands and none of them surprised me. However, during a trip to Taiwan, after experiencing TP Tea for the first time, I felt right away that I had to bring its uniqueness back to Toronto," said Kelly Nguyen, a TP Tea franchise owner. "The taste is totally different from the bubble teas available here. I want every single bubble tea fan living in Canada to know what real tea drink can taste like."
Nguyen says she feels extremely confident in the quality and originality of TP’s drinks. She insists on the pursuit of blending only the highest quality of tea to satisfy their tea-devoted customers, distinguishing TP Tea from other brands.
To celebrate the new location in Scarborough, they launched a new seasonal Strawberry Series. You can chose from two new drinks, Strawberry Milk Tea and Pink Salt Cheese Cream Strawberry Tea. They're both made with fresh chunks of strawberries and homemade strawberry puree. TP Tea is sure these drinks will fit perfectly with the summer weather. They are also running a buy-one-get-one deal this weekend in celebration.
The Scarborough outpost is located at 3278 Midland Avenue.
