Cabana reopens as Cabana Waterfront Patio

If you live in Toronto, you're probably aware of Cabana Pool Bar, known for their upbeat pool-meets-nightclub vibe and crowds of bikini-clad partiers. Let's be honest: the whole "wild pool party" thing has become a bit tired in recent years and it seems they've caught on, announcing their reopening as a classier waterfront restaurant.

Cabana Waterfront Patio boasts the largest outdoor restaurant patio in the city, offering 50,000 square feet and seats for up to 400 guests to dine lakeside. In terms of post-lockdown restaurant openings, this huge space seems appropriate for providing ample room for staff to work and guests to dine. Charles Khabouth, CEO of Cabana's parent company INK Entertainment, outlined the investments that have been made to transform the poolside party spot into a safe, sanitary and roomy full-time restaurant. They will opt for a reservations-only model to serve brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks at strategically-distanced tables, with spectacular views of the lake and the CN Tower. With Toronto's Stage 2 of reopening happening this week, the pivot arrives at an excellent time when dine-in restaurant service will be permitted, but only for outdoor spaces.

The menu has been spearheaded by Oliver & Bonacini, one of the city's most well-known hospitality groups, and includes a variety of summer-friendly favourites to enjoy al fresco. Snack on starters like tuna tartare, nachos and buttermilk-fried rock shrimp, then choose from fresh, seasonal salads, sushi, pizza, sandwiches and meat- or seafood-focused entrees. Everything can be washed down, of course, with signature cocktails, bottles of wine and ice cold beers, so grab a few friends and get ready for the ultimate summer patio experience.
