California-based pizza chain opens a location in Toronto

Burattino Brick Oven Pizza, popular pizza chain from the US, has just opened their first location in Toronto.

The California-based operation stems from the West coast, originating in the San Pedro neighbourhood of Los Angeles back in 2016. Known for the exquisite crunch and chew in their pizza, Burattino is also notable for their lavish selection of toppings, like duck prosciutto, black garlic, sturgeon, quail eggs and their famous wild boar sausage. They're a welcome addition to a city looking for more unique options in pizza.

On the menu, you'll find a mix of absurdly delicious pizza options, like their famous 120 Pepperoni Pizza, which is aptly named because it is guaranteed to be decorated with a minimum of 120 pepperoni slices on the 18-inch pizza.

They also offer a pizza with black garlic sauce that has been fermented for well over 48 hours. Other options include the Hawaiian BBQ Pork with roasted pork, the Croatian Special and a red Chorizo Sausage Special as well. Aside from pizzas, the menu also includes meatballs, calzones and wings.

Burattino is located at 3109 Dundas Street West in the Junction. They are open everyday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. They're currently in the midst of their soft opening and plan to do a grand opening in early September. This Toronto location is just the first in an expansion plan across Canada.
