Cubby Smart Kitchen offers futuristic, restaurant-quality food and service

For the last year there has been an ever-growing pressure on the restaurant industry to come up with inventive and resourceful ways of staying afloat, but perhaps one the most inspired forms of food service to grace Toronto recently, is Smart Cubby Kitchen.

The concept is futuristic in style, from the way it looks to how it works. Customers can order food via a range of delivery apps or in store, from multiple menus, each with a totally different cuisine.

"We are here to revolutionize the restaurant industry in Toronto," wrote CEO Jay Yordi on Instagram.

If you're in the mood for a healthy option with Middle Eastern flare you might go with Caasa Afghan Bowl. They offer a selection of keto salad bowls, quinoa bowls and falafel power bowls, just to name a few. Alternatively, if you're looking for more of a classic North American diner-style meal, there's Burlington Charcoal Pit, where you'll find  burgers, fries, hot dogs, wraps, salads and sides.

Then, there's Kai Poke, offering fresh poke bowls, smoothie bowls, with an array of toppings and flavours to pick from, smoothies and pudding cups. But, If none of those interest you, there's always HOOKT––a seafood haven with battered fish and chips, calamari, fish sandwiches loaded with toppings, and of course, poutine to accompany every dish.

Once customers have made their choice whether that be online or in store via the interactive touch screen menus, a chef will swiftly start preparing your meal. When it's ready, they'll place it in one of the numbered cubbies for you or a delivery driver to grab and go.

Cubby Smart Kitchen

It's a unique, yet elevated 21st century food experience. According to Yordi, the cubby system "merge[s] established brands all under one umbrella, we designed the kitchen to be highly efficient...that's why Cubby is called a smart kitchen."

Cubby Smart Kitchen is located at 106 Queen Street East and is open everyday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
