Drake's favourite patty spot opens second location in East York

Patty Stop, a small Caribbean joint in Scarborough that opened last January, just opened their second location in East York. This small restaurant does classic West Indian food, but is most popular for their stuffed patties.

They were doing well, despite having opened last January just before the onset of the pandemic, receiving high praise from Toronto's most notable celebrity, Drake. An Instagram story post from the Grammy award-winning rapper led to a boom for the small spot, and having the title of Drake’s favourite patties led to an uproar on social media and lineups around the plaza for their little takeout counter.

On the menu, you’ll find their popular loaded patties customized to your liking. The “Drizzy”, named after the rapper himself, is their beef-loaded patty with jerk chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese and their famous house sauce. They also offer various specials throughout the week to go along with their sandwiches, salads and patties. They also have vegetarian and vegan options, like jackfruit sandwiches and vegan patties as well.

Drake's Favourite Patty Opens New Location

Patty Stop’s new location can be found at 2636 St. Clair Avenue East. They will be open Monday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. This location is only their second, but they hope to expand across the GTA with more stores in the future.
