A famous New Jersey bakery is opening its first Canadian location right outside of Toronto.
Carlo’s Bakery, which is the setting for the hit TLC show Cake Boss, is opening its first brick-and-mortar shop in the Port Credit region of Mississauga. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because they already had a presence around here before. Carlo’s Bakery was popular for their cake vending machines that churned out slices of their popular cakes at both Square One and the Eaton Centre.
With the success behind the machines and online sales in Canada, they decided to create this 3,200 square foot retail store that will be serving a number of their most popular pastries, cakes and desserts. Along with their famous cakes, patrons will also be able to get other dishes as well, including pizzas, sandwiches and gelato.
They’ll be opening at 167 Lakeshore Road West in Port Credit. An official grand opening date hasn’t been announced just yet, but keep an eye out on their social media for more details.
