Massive food market opening second location in Scarborough

One of the most popular food markets in Greater Toronto has announced they are expanding.

The Street Eats Market at Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill is a congregation of top food trucks around the city. Due to their Richmond Hill locale's popularity, they're opening a new location at the Scarborough Town Centre. Set to open on April 3, this new concept will be taking over the Old Scott House and Baton Rouge space just outside the mall.

Founder Philip Suos always envisioned expanding as he continues to develop a hub for culinary entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to life. The new space will allow for more novel concepts and a year-round food destination for the community. A full list of the food vendors will be announced in the coming weeks for the Scarborough location, but some notable names include Get Your Own Taters, Jerk Brothers, Los Vietnamita, The Cuban Thing, Chaska, The Funky Patacon, with many more to come.

The upcoming market will be open seven days a week, offering a bevy of food options, free wifi, free parking and a ton of events. The market hopes to bring some interactive events during the warmer months, but for the time being, it is operating with full COVID-19 safety processes in place. As with the original location in Richmond Hill, this new location will offer online ordering with curbside pickup service.
