Matty Matheson is serving roadside BBQ in Fort Erie to support Women's Place

Matty Matheson, Toronto's adored celebrity chef, has partnered up with Kendale -- a kitchen equipment supplier -- to serve up some roadside BBQ in Fort Erie with some of the proceeds going towards Women's Place in South Niagara.

Matty Matheson's Meat and Three homestyle BBQ pop-up is offering two prepared meals on Saturdays and Sundays.

The first is the $35 BBQ and Fried Chicken Combo Plate, which includes three salt and pepper baby back ribs; fried chicken leg and thigh; shaved smoked top sirloin; Flaming Hot Cheetos mac and cheese; tater tots; coleslaw; a dinner roll and pickles.

If that doesn't already give you the meat sweats, the $60 Big Dog Combo includes all of the same goodies from the BBQ and Fried Chicken combo, with an extra helping of Texas beef chuck rib.

Meal combos are available for curbside pickup and must be pre-ordered online with your preferred pickup date and time. Time slots are separated into 10 minute intervals every hour to ensure that social distancing practices are maintained.

Once your order is placed, an email containing your confirmation number and designated pickup time will be sent to you -- which you will need to provide when picking up your order. Act fast as quantities are limited per hour!

“There’s a lot of domestic violence, even during this pandemic,” says Matheson, “we felt that [Women’s Place] was something that could use a little help.”

Matheson and his team have helped raise $6000 for the local charity to date.

Matty Matheson's Meat and Three is located at 465 Central Avenue, Fort Erie, Ontario and is open Saturday and Sundays from 12 p.m. -6 p.m.
