Popular brunch spot from Calgary to open first Ontario location in Toronto

OEB Breakfast Co., a popular breakfast chain from Calgary, is slated to open a location in downtown Toronto.

The breakfast chain began in Calgary back in 2009. With locations across Western Canada, and even the United States, OEB has slowly made its way across the country before finally landing in Ontario. Popular for their epic breakfast plates, creative dishes and their locally-sourced approach, the restaurant has garnered acclaim from all over the West Coast.

OEB Breakfast offers a wide array of breakfast staples and creations, like their signature Blue Plate Specials that include dishes like Canadian Lobster and Shrimp crepes or Pierogies and Duck. They are also massively popular for their breakfast poutines, like the signature "Soul in a Bowl", which are the poached eggs with duck fat fried herb potatoes, Saint Cyrille curds, slow cooked bacon and a brown butter hollandaise.

Besides some of those unique dishes, they have a variety of omelettes, crepes, eggs benedict, sandwiches, and more. Everything is sourced from local farms in the area and are served with sides that include duck fat fried potatoes, fried heirloom tomatoes, and even sturgeon caviar if one so chooses.

OEB Breakfast Co. Toronto will be opening in the Liberty Market building at 171 East Liberty Street in Liberty Village, marking their very first location in Ontario. The exact opening date has yet to be announced, but is expected to come late this year or early 2022.
