Popular egg sandwich spot opens new downtown location

Toronto's most popular egg sandwich shop has just opened a new location.

Egg Club serves up Japanese-inspired egg sandwiches and their new location, near Wellesley Station, celebrated their soft opening last week. After the immense popularity of the sandwiches at their flagship store on Dundas Street, expansion was inevitable.

"We do not want to just serve sandwiches but, we are striving to serve happiness and a smile, because we think it is important," says Tim, one of the owners at Egg Club.

Egg Club is popular for their Japanese-style egg sandwiches that use gently-folded eggs nestled in between two slices of soft Japanese milk bread. From there, customers can add a number of different toppings that range from the Classic, which has Creme Fraiche, creamy chili sauce, parsley and egg club sauce, to sandwiches with a number of meats, like thick cut bacon, sausage and ham.

Besides their delectable sandwiches, you can find amazing hash browns stuffed with a potato mash that forms a mini sandwich. You can also get brewed coffee and specialty drinks, like the Iced Hazelnut coffee or their Peach Iced Tea, that has a wonderful hint of peach with a sweet kick.

Egg Club's second location is now open at 531 Yonge Street near Wellesley Station. For the soft opening, they will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are open for pickup or delivery through their third party partners like Uber Eats and Ritual.
