Popular ice cream shop finally finds permanent location along Harbourfront

Ice Creamonology was one of the city's sweetest new additions that popped up last spring, who despite experiencing a turbulent first year of operation, never succumbed to the challenges they faced. Known for flavours like White Chocolate Blueberry Cheesecake, Turkish Coffee and their loaded choux pastry ice cream sandwiches, many are excited for their return.

From a successful storefront launch spoiled by a difficult landlord, to a quick relocation inside their friends at Chen Chen's Hot Chicken's spot in Parkdale for the summer, owners Onur Yilmaz and Simge Tekgul have finally managed to secure a permanent brick and mortar of their own. Finding themselves at Harbourfront again, taking over inside the space formally home to another dessert spot -- Lick it Gelato -- the duo plan to open their doors by March 1.

Located at 250 Queens Quay West, their new location is a short walk away from their first spot along the Harbourfront, a neighbourhood they've always intended to return to, after they were abruptly forced to leave at the end of May.

"We were in Harbourfront only three months. However, the community there made us feel like we were part of the community for a decade," say Yilmaz and Tekgul. "Even though we moved to Queen St. West, they never stopped supporting us and asked us when are we coming back. All this connection happened in three months. This is why we felt like we belong to Harbourfront area. When we posted that we are back in Harbourfront, we had over 200 messages and all of them said ‘Welcome back home.’"

Stay tuned to Ice Creamonology on Instagram for updates on when they'll finally be able to welcome you in for small-batch ice cream, cookies, milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches and more again.
