A beloved ice cream parlour, also known for their Turkish coffee readings, is now serving alcohol-infused ice cream.
S'Cream Ice Cream in Yorkville has come up with eight different boozy ice cream items, just in time for the summer. The concept started out in small batches which the S'Cream team shared with just a few guests. The response was so great that they started to add cocktails and even a tipsy flight. Their plan is to serve it in these fancy cocktail glasses once the stay-at-home order ends. They have a hidden back patio where they hope to serve their customers this summer.
Currently they carry eight flavours, all with 5 per cent alcohol––'Absolutely Birthday Cake', Mango Aperol', 'Coffee Bailey's', 'Jacked Chocolate PB', 'Peachy Vanilla Vodka', 'Raspberry Limoncello', 'Pina Colada' and 'Margarita' are all available for scoops or in a pint.
With these eight ice cream flavours, they have also created a variety of different cocktails that incorporate them into a variety of cocktails. For mango lovers, Talk Mango to Me will hit the spot, made with the Mango Aperol ice cream, mango flavoured beer and orange candy. There's also their own take on a classic boozy Irish coffee called Irish in Toronto, made with Coffee Bailey's ice cream, shots of Bailey's and Kahlúa, a coffee milk stout, whipped cream and fudge.
If you're celebrating a birthday (or just enjoy the taste associated with birthdays) the It's My Birthday is made for you. This ice cream cocktail uses Absolutely Birthday Cake ice cream––which is infused with vodka––sparking wine and sprinkles. The boozy ice cream drinks are available for takeout only at the moment.
