Stackt Market delivers a unique spin on the traditional holiday market

Bundle up and get ready to eat, drink and be merry! Bring your friends, family, or come solo to Holiday Hills at Stackt Market, the largest shipping container market in Canada, for a holiday shopping experience that includes live entertainment, games, amazing views and plenty of food and drinks.

Located at 28 Bathurst St and running until December 31, Stackt Market's Holiday Hills event is a primarily outdoor event that includes beautiful festive decorations and photo opportunities. Visitors will be able to browse all of Stackt's permanent retailers, as well as local weekend vendors. Other unique experiences, such as DIY handmade gift making, live music and games of Crokicurl, are scheduled throughout the duration of the event. Holiday Hills is free to attend, but additional fees and reservations may be required for activities and workshops.

Founded in 2019 and designed with shipping containers, Stackt Market has become a Toronto staple and operates year-round. From the city views to the sense of community in the area, Stackt brings an original experience to city market-goers and tourists alike. Their Holiday Hills event incorporates more than just seasonal decor into their space; they've included culture, art, music, live events, activities, phenomenal food and an assortment of beverages for all ages. They also have tons of shopping available -- between their resident retailers and weekend vendors -- to check everyone off of your holiday gift list... or, just spoil yourself! Visiting this 5-week event will fill visitors of all ages with those warm-and-fuzzy feelings associated with the holiday season!

Apart from the dazzling sights and friendly space, Stackt offers, as a part of their Holiday Hills weekend vendors, a Black-owned market that will take place on December 18, a Turn Up Drag Brunch on December 11 and several other workshops and exciting events. Because Stackt is a market space that was built on the foundation of community and a love for GTA creators, vendors are often local small business owners, and many of their performing musicians/artists are local as well.

There is an undeniable sense of warmth and friendliness as soon as you enter the market.

For visitors looking to bring the family along to enjoy the various festivities, take note: Santa will be visiting Holiday Hills at Stackt on December 14 (for pet photos) and December 17 and 18 for kids or anyone else who wants their photo taken with the jolly man himself! Activities such as wreath making and carolling, shopping, along with drinking hot chocolate next to some beautiful Christmas trees are all kid-friendly.

For adults and groups looking for a unique holiday outing, Stackt offers a variety of ticketed events inside their Holiday Hills market. Crokicurl, a hybrid game of crokinole and curling, has made its much-anticipated return at Stackt. Players can reserve space ahead of time (for an additional fee) and enjoy time with their chosen team members on Stackt's very own Crokicurl rink. For those looking to indulge in the experience, packages including enough drinks and food for a small group, along with 45-minutes of gameplay, are available here.

For more adult fun and holiday dates, Bailey's will be serving up a variety of beverages throughout the season for you to enjoy while you visit. Belgian Moon brewery is on-site, along with Joybird, if great beer and fried chicken are what you're craving. And, in partnership with St-Remy, GoldInn was made possible. GoldInn is a gold double-decker shipping container converted into a speakeasy-style eatery, with a rooftop patio offering incredible views of the city and cocktails curated by St-Rémy -- dining packages are available for purchase.

For anyone looking to get in the holiday spirit and enjoy a unique experience, Holiday Hills at Stackt Market runs Tuesday-Sunday, from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. at 28 Bathurst St; retail hours may vary.

Stackt is fully accessible and pet-friendly. Covid-19 safety measures will be in place.

Holiday Hills runs from November 23-December 31.
