Support local Pan-Asian vendors and allies at Family Style Holiday Market this Saturday

"Come Visit Auntie" at Family Style Holiday Market – a one day only event at Parkdale Hall this Saturday, December 18 featuring GTA-based Pan-Asian vendors and allies, with all the holiday goodies and gift ideas you never knew you needed.

Organized by Christina Pack, owner of Stackt Market's resident superette Auntie's Supply, the goal of this holiday market aligns with Pack's vision for her own store:

"From day one, we’ve been dedicated to using our platform to amplify and showcase the intrepid Asian founders that are reinterpreting traditional flavours with creative new products and goods," says Pack.

With a focus on food vendors, some small businesses making appearances at the holiday market include: Asukal Desserts, Baker-Rae, Birdy's Daughter Coffee, Chachalate, Kopi Thyme, Kumain Kitchen, Lao Food Co. and The Good Goods.

The idea for the market came about from the want to celebrate these vendors who've developed their businesses in ways that deeply connect to and are influenced by their cultural heritage. As Pack says, they're redefining what it means to be Asian in Canada.

"Through this market, we hope to bring the community together to shop for the holidays, support Asian-owned businesses and allies, and amplify the stories of Asians in the community who are rediscovering their identities in new ways and building their own legacies through the businesses they create," says Pack.

Look forward to mochi muffins, Vietnamese coffee, macarons, curry pastes, dark chocolate and so much more. You may not know what to buy first, but you'll definitely want to arrive with an empty stomach.

Catch Family Style Holiday Market inside Parkdale Hall, located at 1605 Queen St West this upcoming Saturday, December 18 from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. Stay tuned to vendor updates by following Auntie's Supply on Instagram.
