Susur Lee reopens his restaurant for takeout

One of Toronto's most well-known celebrity chefs Susur Lee is back in action, delivering some of the best in Asian-French fusion food straight to your home.

Lee Restaurant offers an innovative approach to the traditional flavours of Chinese cuisine, fusing them with traditional French cooking techniques for a unique dining experience. Like many, they had to close the restaurant back in mid-March due to the escalating COVID-19 situation and the doors have remained shut since then. However, they announced on Friday that they've been working hard to get back up and running for takeout and delivery.

Chef and founder Lee has been working hard with only five other staff members to whip up their signature dishes and get them delivered out to hungry customers. While their launch day was met with some technical difficulties, the restaurant expressed their gratitude from the overwhelming response, patience and support they received from fans across the city.

To start, snack on their signature Singapore slaw (made extra flavourful with 20 ingredients) and cheeseburger spring rolls, then delve into heartier mains like the slow braised beef with mash, curry chicken, Chiang Mai-inspired pad Thai and tofu lettuce wraps. There are a variety of options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, so grab all of your favourites -- plus wine and cocktails -- for delivery straight to your door through DoorDash, or for pickup through Ritual or Tock.
