The Djot Dispenser is Canada’s hottest new cannabis technology

When it comes to cannabis, layers of smoke and a lack of personalization can cloud customers’ understanding of their options and preferences. Now, thanks to Djot, users can enjoy a truly personalized experience, anytime and anywhere. From your morning coffee to an after-work cocktail, Djot delivers a precise dose of cannabis into any beverage.

A perfectly-portable, pocket-sized electronic dispenser, Djot has been dubbed, the “Keurig” of cannabis. Founded by entrepreneurs Elad Barak, Arjen Melis, and Giovanni Gerbolini, Toronto-based Djot has been operating in the health tech sector since 2019, thanks to funding led by tech venture capital firm Draper Cygnus. “Our proprietary, portable product is simple to use and seamlessly adds the desired cannabis dose, in precise 1 mg intervals, to anything you’re drinking,” says Melis, co-founder and president of Djot. Pronounced “jot,” the name begins with a silent “d” that represents “drop” or “dose.” It’s a word and brand that will soon be on everyone’s lips.

Slick and slim, the discreet device fits easily into a purse or pocket. Each functions with specially-formulated dPods, which deliver calibrated shots of cannabis oil directly into drinks. Made by Djot as well as several leading cannabis brands, dPods will be available with THC, CBD or a hybrid, with up to 1000mg of oil per pod. Whether they crave calm, increased energy, or the types of health benefits cannabis can provide, Djot offers customers the lift they want. As Melis explains, dPods “are formulated to cater to everyone’s unique needs throughout the day: a boost between meetings or a relaxing remedy that becomes an evening ritual.”

Djot, “makes cannabis much more accessible for everyone,” says Melis. By replacing the lingering fragrance of smoke, the drab flavour of infused bevvies, and the confusion of concentrates, Djot takes the guesswork out of dosing and the stigma out of cannabis use. Plus, at $39.99 per device, with additional cost for pods, it’s affordable enough to appeal to a wide range of customers.

Expected to hit the market in March, 2023, each rechargeable Djot device features a passcode for safety, a large display screen, and bluetooth connectivity to enable pod re-ordering. Be among the first to experience Djot by signing up for your device on the Djot website today.
