The Ninja Chef is hosting a pop-up in Midtown

Nick Liu a.k.a Ninja Chef of the popular modern Chinese restaurant, DaiLo is hosting a pop-up at HotBlack Coffee in Midtown this weekend.

The Ninja Chef is widely known for his "New Asian" approach to Chinese cuisine, which melds French tradition with Chinese fare in innovative and undeniably delicious fusion dishes.

The DaiLo pop-up, running Thursday through Sunday and every weekend following, will feature three of Ninja Chef's most popular items including his signature Burger Bao that was offered for a limited time at his Little DaiLo post in Assembly Chef's Hall, along with Cambodian fried chicken wings and Asian poutine.

The Burger Bao ($16) features two smashed patties, shredded lettuce, pickles, cheese and special sauce all stuffed between a steamed bao.

If you're in the mood for some greasy comfort food, DaiLo's Cambodian wings ($16) are fried to a perfect crisp with salt, pepper and lime and comes with a Rick and Morty Mulan Sichuan dipping sauce.

The Asian Poutine ($12), includes crispy smoked duck Lo Bak (fried turnip cake) fries topped with cheese curds, crescenza cheese, mapo gravy and green onions.

If Asian-inspired comfort food is your niche, this is a pop-up you won't want to miss!

The DaiLo pop-up is happening every Thursday to Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at HotBlack Coffee in Midtown located at 1993 Yonge Street.
