Japanese cafe and bakery, Neo Coffee Bar, is opening a third location at King and Spadina streets. Neo currently has two locations in the city. The original coffee shop, which opened in August 2015, can be found at 770 Bay St. near the St. Lawrence Market. Neo’s second outpost is located at 161 Frederick St. in David Crombie Park. Open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, Neo Coffee Bar serves a variety of hot and cold espresso-based drinks as well as Japanese specialty teas and lattes, using ingredients like brown rice, matcha and young flush leaves sourced from Uji, Kyoto. Neo’s third location can be found at 61 Spadina Ave.
Mary Brown’s Chicken, a 100% Canadian-owned and operated fast food chain, is unveiling a new menu item, but they kept it all shrouded in mystery. Instead of revealing the item and all of the ingredients, Mary Brown’s invited guests to every store across Canada to discover the free item, equipped with only a sentence-long clue: "I’m three words, twenty-two letters and almost the height of a popsicle stick."
The unveiling of the item, a grilled chicken sandwich, took place on March 28, 2023, and saw the first 25 guests who visited any Mary Brown’s Chicken location across the country receive the new menu item for free.
Mary Brown's is known for its Big Mary® chicken sandwich, which was named Canada's Best Chicken Sandwich, and its made-fresh menu which uses farm-fresh Canadian ingredients and includes hand-cut and hand-breaded Signature Chicken & Taters.
Dreamed up by Pizzeria Libretto chef Rocco Agostino and Patois chef Craig Wong, Jerk Mortadella & Pistachio pizza is the sweet and spicy collab we can't wait to sink our teeth into. Available at all Pizzeria Libretto locations between April 3rd and 30th, the pizza is a tempting combination of jerk cream sauce, jerk mortadella, fior de latte mozzarella, and a garnish of pistachios and pineapple reduction. A fusion dish that showcases Pizzeria Libretto's authentic Neapolitan-style pies and Patois' signature Caribbean flavours, the pie is also a great way to give back. For each collaboration pizza sold, Pizzeria Libretto will donate one of its hand-made frozen pizzas to the Daily Bread Food Bank.

Early buzz has praised the compassionate vibe as well as the Sarang Platter, a massive shareable feast featuring two flavours of fried chicken, crispy squid, tornado chips, a quartet of dipping sauces, cabbage slaw and pickled radishes.
Sarang Kitchen is open Mon-Fri, 5-11 p.m. and Sat-Sun, 12-11 p.m. and is part of a growing number of hospitality included (aka no tipping) restaurants that is also Living Wage certified.

Let’s face it, people choosing to buy prime breeds rather than adopting loveable furry friends that are in desperate need of homes is causing overcrowding in shelters all over. Thankfully, there has been a recent shift in the culture with more people taking the “adopt don’t shop” slogan to heart.
To further help this movement, Benefiting Furry Friends (BFF) Beverages, a uniquely cause-based ready-to-drink brand is on a mission to improve the lives of abandoned animals across Canada by donating five cents from the sale of every can to help animals in need.
In Ontario, BFF Beverages has partnered with Save Our Scruff until the end of June. It is also providing assistance in Alberta and British Columbia, partnering with Animal Rescue Foundation and Okanagan Humane Society, respectively.
The drinks are available in two delicious flavours — each complete with an adorable mascot in tow. The Peach Vodka, with a Golden Retriever at its helm, can be found in Ontario, B.C. and Alberta. While Blackberry, sporting the French Bulldog, is available in B.C. and Alberta.
The drinks-for-a-cause can be found at LCBOs across the province until the end of June. Beginning July, BFF Beverages will partner up with another local shelter. To keep in touch with local shelters in need of adopting, follow @BFF Beverages on Instagram.
