This pop-up restaurant puts an emphasis on fresh and whole foods

A new restaurant pop-up and meal kit service has landed in Toronto and it is centred around fresh, wholesome, diverse and carefully curated recipes.

Fresca Dining by Earth Made Kitchen comes from Amanda Huang, a new concept that strives to offer delicious meals that incorporate a diversity of flavours. The company ethos emphasizes the importance of only sourcing the freshest of ingredients to produce meals people will feel satisfied and good after eating -- of course, that being where the name Fresca derives from (which translates as fresh in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

Huang loves working with whole foods and focuses on developing recipes that are diverse and simple at the same time. In doing so, Fresca creates local collaborations with vendors, chefs and farmers to develop curated dishes.

Huang originally opened Earth Made Kitchen in 2019 with the objective of teaching others how to cook. From 2011 to 2020, Huang has worked with Toronto's PC Cooking School and organized small-scale meal delivery and catering services.

In March 2020, the food industry suffered a significant shift. Through the combination of the pandemic and Huang's love for cooking and food service involvement, Fresca Dining was established.

Fresca has hosted a variety of pop-up events at various locations in the past few months. Such as, their pop-up at Stackt Grocery Market for their Cocoa Date Truffles, or the "Family Brunch To-Go" which included an online cooking class. Their most recent event was the "Fresca At-Home Dinner To-Go," which was a 3-course restaurant-style meal that was picked up from the Mess Hall.

Stay updated via their Instagram page on all upcoming meals and kits.
