This sushi chain is offering an all-you-can-eat drive-in experience

If the joys of stuffing yourself at an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant seem a distant memory of the past, we are here to tell you that one chain has found a solution.

August 8, a sushi chain with several locations across Southwestern Ontario, including Toronto, Brampton, Oakville Burlington and Hamilton, is repurposing their AYCE concept to a drive-in setup.

Patrons will be asked to park their cars in designated spots and scan a QR code to order. The servers will bring the orders out to each vehicle and take the waste back for you as well. If you want to order more, you simply need to scan the QR code again and more food will be swiftly brought out to your car. There is a time limit, which varies based on location and vehicles will be charged per person.

The restaurant offers various dishes that include endless amounts of sushi, maki, udon and dim sum. The drive-in concept for restaurants has been seen across the U.S., but this is the first time we are seeing the idea being brought to Canada. Several August 8 locations have implemented the drive-in experience but we recommend calling to confirm availability and pricing.
