This Toronto bar has set up a boozy 'lemonade' stand for passersby

Spice up your summer with the help of Cry Baby Gallery and their new boozy 'lemonade' stand!

After the success of their piloted Only Fans cocktail subscription service amidst the pandemic, the folks at Cry Baby Gallery have begun selling pre-bottled spicy margaritas and boozed-up freezies out of their cozy new stand set up behind the art gallery/bar on Dundas Street West.

If you have yet to try one of these spicy margaritas, you are in for a treat. They are made in-house daily with fresh produce that is locally sourced within the city. With flavours like Blackberry Green Thai Chili and Strawberry Habanero, they have found the perfect balance of spices that pair beautifully with tequila and mezcal. The most popular so far, has been the Spicy Passion Fruit, bringing a tart yet refreshing taste to the palate, that still packs a punch when it comes to heat.

"Everyone loves a spicy marg, that's something we can all agree on. People who stop by come from all sorts of backgrounds and it doesn't really matter who you are, or what you like, it's just nice to see everyone finally agreeing on something for once," says co-owner Rob Granicolo.

To achieve a warm spice that allows for enjoyable drinking -- without breaking a sweat -- they have been fusing the tequila with fresh peppers muddled in a mortar and pestle and mixing it with fresh lime juice. As for the freezies, they are made with the same tequilas but have been combined with various delicious sweet nectars that will surely make these refreshing treats a park essential for the rest of the season.

With new flavours dropping each week, you'll have to keep your eyes posted on the Cry Baby Gallery Instagram stories, where they will post all the details needed for pick-up at 1416 Dundas St. West. Upon arrival, you'll have to follow the chalkboard arrows, which will take you around back, where they will be set up for the day (weather permitting).

Orders will have to be placed in person at the booth; however, they will be accepting larger spicy marg requests for special occasions and cottage weekends in advance by messaging them on Instagram or on their website.
